My employment at the Public Prosecutions Service of Canada came to an end yesterday. It was by far the best job I ever had, and of all the jobs I have had it was the one for which I was least qualified. I learned a lot about the London criminal justice system and a lot about London criminals. Mencken was wrong: putting dope fiends and hookers in jail is the true life of kings.
I'll have a more comprehensive concluding post in a couple weeks, but for now, I'm trading my suit and tie for camouflage coveralls: I'm off to the Yukon to shoot a caribou.
